All of these referrals have been sent to the RHENA email list since January 2023. Contact the webmaster, to make a new recommendation, or to update information. Please include: provider name, contact information, any special notes, and your name as the person making the recommendation.

I wanted to share this website, https://southernazbeekeepers.org, with everyone and note that this organization has great information on local bees, bee keeping, and what to do if you find a swarm of bees near your home. It includes a list of bee removal specialists. I urge everyone to consider using vetted bee professionals to remove bees (when removal is needed; often swarms are harmless and move on after a week or two) as our pollinators are incredibly important as you probably know, and extremely threatened at the moment. --Amy S, 1/27/23

I just had a wonderful experience with American Bee Control 520-780-1831. I called this morning and they were able to come over today. My bees, all 12,000 of them with lots of combs, were in a irrigation box. They worked hard and very carefully not to harm the bees. It was a great experience and I learned something about bee behavior. I would highly recommend them...they don't kill the bees...and actually re-hive them. --Candace S, 5/8/23

Medicare health care plan advisor

I had an appointment with an excellent Medicare health care plan advisor yesterday. He does house calls and even reviewed my plan in a side-by-side comparison with the ones he usually recommends. He spent 2 hours with me, didn’t charge me a dime, and in the end he recommended I stay with my current plan. To me, that means he’s more about giving honest advice rather than pushing you to buy one of his offerings. He explained everything very clearly and patiently.
